Zeke and Menyanthes

Subject: Zeke and Menyanthes Wed Sep 02, 2009 7:59 pm

So these two are in jail at this moment. Zeke was just playing a game of cards with some of the other prisoners while Menyanthes was out flying.

Zeke was quiet for a moment; Menyanthes was serious about protecting him. He nodded slightly and hugged the man.
"Thank you," he whispered. The man looked down at him and had such a gentle air about him when his green eyes were on the male. However, Zeke knew that as soon as Menyanthes looked at someone else, those green eyes were like steel. He knew the man cared for him greatly. Menyanthes smiled faintly, taking his hand and leading him to their cell, closely followed my prison guards.

Once the two were in their cell, the guards closed the door and locked it again, seeing that they were securely locked in their cell. Zeke sighed and went to the bed, climbing up onto the top bunk that was his designated sleeping area. "So how was your flight?" he asked softly, lying on his stomach and looking down over the side of the bed to look at Menyanthes.

"Good," the black-haired man answered quietly. "Just what I needed." He looked up at the male, standing in front of the beds. "Were you safe when I was away?"

Zeke reached out and lightly played his fingers through the man's hair, watching him quietly. "I was," he replied. "We just played a card game. And he asked me how my stay with you was."

"Oh?" the Plant Entity asked calmly. "And what did you say?"

The redhead shrugged slightly. "I told him that it wasn't as bad as they all said it would be," he replied. "That you're really nice to me." He paused and paled faintly. "Should I not have told him that?"

The man smiled faintly. "As long as they do not try to take you from me. Then you might have a different thing to tell them."

"You'll have to explain why I beat down everyone who tried to take you from me," the man hissed softly, cupping his cheek gently.

The young redhead stared up at him and frowned faintly. "You'd do all that because I remind you of your brother?" he asked.

"I love my brother dearly, and I would do anything to protect him." The man paused before looking donw at him. "and you."

Zeke sighed and bowed his head slightly. He climbed up onto the top bunk and curled up. "I wanna go home, Menyanthes," he whispered sadly.

The man sighed faintly and pulled him close, rocking with him. "I know," he whispered. "I do too."

Zeke sighed, putting his arms around Menyanthes and hugging him tightly. "At least I have you," he whispered, resting his head against the man's chest. "At least I have a friend here."

Menyanthes smiled faintly and nodded. "I'll protect you."

Menyanthes watched him silently. "Go to sleep," he whispered. "You look like you need it."

Zeke looked up at him. "I do?" he whispered. "But, I don't feel very tired."

The black-haired man sighed. "It's okay," he told him. "If you sleep, I'll protect you."

Zeke nodded and closed his eyes as he hid a yawn behind his hand and then blushed. "Um, I think I might actually be tired," he whispered timidly. "I-I'm allowed to sleep, right?"
